My name is Joshua Beach. I’m a professional illustrator and graphic designer with over twenty years’ experience, primarily working with the theme park and tourism industries. Clients have included Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Hard Rock Cafe, Ron Jon Surf Shops, and more. Through these clients, I have had the opportunity to work on licenses such as Harry Potter, MARVEL, Star Wars, Nickelodeon, JAWS, Jurassic Park, NASCAR, and various other major sports agencies.

The majority of my work has been with graphic apparel, children’s books, fantasy novels, and airshows. I have over 25 years’ experience in creating high end separations for screen printing, embroidery digitizing, and production packs. My published works go beyond traditional 2D illustration into multi-layered pop-ups as well as 3D models that can be punched out and assembled. I’ve also done work with aviation designers developing technical illustrations for new aircraft.

I have been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil. I attended a school of the arts for high school and was trained in all forms of traditional art mediums. It was then that I chose to combine my two greatest passions, illustration and a love for all things that fly, into a career. Growing up in the 80s and early 90s has shaped a large part of who I am. I’m a fan for things such as Transformers, Voltron, Macross, and especially Star Wars. The artistic styles of these entities along with the detailed work of Albrecht Durer, Larry Elmore, Ralph McQuarrie, and Kieth Fretwell have been the biggest influences in my artistic style. I enjoy creating highly detailed illustrations.
